How to Write A Motivation Letter

BY knowledgeinyourhands IN , , , , , , , No comments

It is very common to be asked for a motivation letter to be able to apply for an internship, a scholarship, a non-paid position …

This motivation letter is one of the key documents and can make a difference between you and the others.

The motivation letter gives you the opportunity to express how much you want a certain internship, a certain job… with your own words which can make the one who is going to read it feel how much you want it or not.

It lets you speak about yourself about things that can affect the provider, to say things about yourself that differs you from the others. Things you can’t write in a Resume or CV.

Also your motivation letter can be the basic of the conversation that can happen during the interview.

Make some research

So before you write your motivation letter you should know all the information and details about the opportunity and about the provider so you can have what you need to know if your profile is a match or no and to know how to start writing and from where to begin.

Make some plans

You should know what you’re going to speak about, which topics, qualities… you’re going to highlight them. Your letter should be personal and should be unique so you have to know what to speak about exactly, why you’re interested in this opportunity, what you are the perfect profile for it, mention too if you had some similar experience…

Some questions you need to answer them in your letter :

  •          What is your goal?
  •          How this opportunity is going to help you to reach your goal?
  •          Why are you interested in this opportunity?
  •          Why are you the one they are searching for?
  •          What skills, qualities do you have that can prefer you on others?
  •          Do you have any experience?
  •          What will this opportunity give you?

NOTE : Don’t forget to be professional, not to make errors while writing and to address the letter formally.
